Play More Footgolf
Footgolf quickly finds its way in to your heart, but trying to find the time, and funds, for your new favourite sport can be a tall order. Getting the opportunities to improve and tackle new courses is exciting, but how do you make it happen? Here’s the Footgolf Frenzy Guide to how to play more Footgolf in 2018.
Take Every Chance You Get
It might seem obvious, but the chances are you’re unknowingly turning down valuable opportunities for a spot of Footgolf. Being new, the sport is gaining momentum, but isn’t yet flooded. As such, there are ample opportunities to get involved in Footgolf Club competitions and the social side of the game. This in turn builds links with other Footgolfers and you will soon have willing players on side.
Don’t Tie Yourself Down
Whilst it may be worth joining a local Footgolf Group or Club, the good news with this sport is that you rarely have to be tied to one course due to astronomical membership fees. Instead, take the opportunity to keep checking out for new Footgolf Courses in your area, and give a new place a go. This will improve your game, as well as ensuring you pay a fair amount.
Plan, Schedule, and Plan
Life gets in the way. We’re all busy and have constant demands on our time. Then it comes to a free Sunday afternoon, you’re up for a game of Footgolf and you’ve got no one to play with, and there are no available tee-off-times. On the other hand, if you’ve made the plans in advance, booked your slot, and got your footgolfing buddies on board, then you’re much more likely to be able to keep that time dedicated to Footgolf. Particularly take the chance to scout out events and competitions and pencil them in your diary.
Get Others on Board
If one of the reasons you don’t get enough time for your beloved sport is that you are already struggling to give enough time to your family and friends, then it’s time to think outside of the box. Instead of thinking of it as an either/or option, include your family and friends in Footgolf. It’s accessible to everyone, and all abilities can play alongside each other having fun.
Go For a Footgolf Break
Sometimes we just need to make time. Partition off a weekend and select one of the country’s finest regions for a Footgolf Break. This gives you the opportunity to have a restful weekend away, trying your foot at a course that is new to you, knowing you’re clocking up some valuable footgolfing hours.
Don’t Drop the Ball
Habits happen through the little and often regime of life. By dedicating yourself to Footgolf in 2017, as a way to relax and unwind, and get some exercise, you can make it a hobby which is a habit. Perhaps book yourself in with a Footgolf Pro and get some lessons or tips. Dedicating yourself in this way will lead to you making more time to invest in your skills. Away from the course read about how to improve your game, so that when you get the opportunity, you can practice what you’ve learned.
With just a little thought and careful planning you can give your favourite sport of Footgolf the room it’s fighting for in your diary. Get out and play more Footgolf in 2018!
